Tab Trade — What It Is
Tab Trade launched in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection matters. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. But more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is not narrow.
Platforms
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders prefer it once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That will make the platform set when it arrives.
Costs
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not something most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That is what kind of broker this is.
Pair those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering is strong. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.
Regulation
This is the part that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does be part of how you think about it.
